    ​65 billion riyals, the volume of investment flows at the end of the third quarter of last year 

    The CEO of the National Transformation Program (one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030), Eng. Thamer bin Abdullah Al-Saadoun, confirmed the success of the program during the last period, in achieving some of the goals set for the program at the economic level. The actual performance of the private sector is confirmed by several performance measurement indicators that confirm the actual value The program includes: an increase in the business community’s satisfaction with government communication channels to reach 94% by the end of 2021, and an increase in the volume of foreign direct investment flows from 17.11 billion riyals in 2019 to 65 billion riyals by the end of the third quarter of 2021.

    This came during a meeting hosted by the Asharqia Chamber on Wednesday morning (8/6/2022), during which the National Transformation Program and its most prominent initiatives and achievements were reviewed, as it is one of the most important programs to achieve the strategic goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. He explained that the program that was launched in its first version in 2016 At the level of government agencies based on the economic and development sectors and then moved at the beginning of 2021 to the second phase, which will continue in the period between (2021-2025) to advance the wheel of achievement with ambitious goals and promising initiatives.


    During the meeting, which was moderated by the media personality, Talaat Hafez, Al-Saadoun mentioned that the program is working to achieve 34 strategic goals out of the 96 goals of the vision, which represents more than 35% of its total goals, including facilitating doing business, developing the retail sector, and supporting national companies to enhance their global leadership, Enhancing the interest of companies in the sustainability of the national economy. Noting that the most important achievements of the program at various levels are empowering the private sector, attracting investments, facilitating doing business, increasing small and medium enterprises, supporting promising sectors, increasing the contribution of productive families to the economy, and attracting foreign and local investments.​

    ​​During the meeting, some observations were heard and questions from the attendees were answered, which revolved around the most important challenges facing the private sector, and the program's efforts to facilitate doing business and lead to a prosperous economy (as stipulated in the vision).

    The meeting, which was held at the Chamber's headquarters in Dammam, witnessed a discussion of several themes of that relationship, as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber Badr bin Suleiman Al-Raziza, said that our rational government launched many executive programs that were designed to achieve the goals and aspirations of Vision 2030 AD, all of which were able to harmonize its activities through plans Approved implementation of transforming the vision into a reality we live day after day. 
    He expressed his hope that the program would complete all its objectives for the current stage by promoting community development, ensuring the sustainability of vital resources, achieving excellence in government performance, supporting digital transformation, and increasing the attractiveness of the labor market. Because we are in an expanded stage of maturity in which the concepts of excellence in performance and deepening the impact of constructive dialogue have taken root, Asharqia Chamber seeks, from its meeting today, to create an open dialogue about the aspirations of the private sector towards an innovative, flexible and extensive work environment.
